Hello!

I’ve been thinking about order and install a pair of Liberators that I’ve heard so much about. I still use the comfy-pads on my Grado SR60, but I don’t know I should replace them or not - and if yes, which pads should I use?

Thanks…

Well, bowl give most aggressive sound at the cost of bass fullness. The bass slam is still there though. Wearing bowls reversed tames aggressiveness little bit.

Flats give bass boost at the cost of highs clarity and aggressiveness. Boring IMHO, but good for taming overbright recordings.

I dont know how HD414 pads change the sound.

Its all about taste, get them all!

Thanks for the tips!
I'm feeling more for the bowls, but I'm afraid that the aggressiveness will be to much while listening to for example black metal. Now I'm using comfys with holes and I feel that sometimes can get a bit too much if the music is very disted.
Hmmm…maybe I’ll have to buy different pads after all.
