I'm looking for a new phone to use with my Shure SE535's. Can anybody compare the sound quality of the LG V35 (or V40, same DAC I think) with an iPhone XR hooked to an Audirect Beam? I'm torn as I think the iPhone will be a far better phone (on battery life alone) but I like the convenience of the LG's built-in DAC. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to compare the two setups for sound quality so am looking for opinions.

i can't answer your question but why does it matter if the Audirect Beam is connected to a iphone XR vs any other phone? it should bypass the phone's amp/dac anyways

D'uh, that is an excellent point. Basically I need to find a comparison of the V35 vs any use of the Beam. Thanks for pointing out what should have been obvious to me (but wasn't!!)

Audieect beam has a better dac and the amostage is better than the v35 from what I can tell listening to the two. More depth and more power.
