Of course. But they probably will not. How many DAP makers actually release complete hardware specs?

Also, I'm not sure rockbox on such a small screen would be all that great. Of course, I would totally go for it for the EQ alone. Not that I'd use it much, I just want the feature

I agree. I for one don't think hisound's UI is all that bad if the bugs and glitches could be resolved. A few things I want (apologies if I already mentioned any of this):

1) Custom EQ (forget presets)
2) Capability to create playlists on the go or
3) Select multiple folders for playback. There is already an option to play a folder and all its contents. Perhaps a menu option to enqueue a folder's contents to the current now playing list should be added. Not quite as good as playlist in that it can't be saved. But it would let us select multiple albums from different artists and shuffle them or w/e. This is something I did a lot on my ipod by making an on the go playlist.
