What is your opinion of Leonidas trying to kill Xerxes? I personally think he was trying to kill him, not just trying to make him bleed to show he is not a god.

There are many people also saying that he tried to make him bleed.

What is your opinion head-fi?

He was a warrior trained all his life, I think his throw was solid. Xerxes didn't believe that he could be hurt so thus didn't move. Would it have been nearly as damaging to Xerxes to simply be killed, as it was to prove that he was human and leave him alive to acknowledge that fact?

It's not that he was right in front of him to easily choose a letal blow vs. a simple bleeding injury. He was too far, he definitely aimed to kill, in the hope of at least injuring him if the spear didn´t land lethally.
