Everything about this guy exudes cool. An internationally known composer, writing groundbreaking works with names like "Suicide on an Airplane" at the time of Ives and early Stravinsky, and yet lived till 2002, whose biography includes the phrase "was rediscovered in a Texas trailer park in 1970".... you just can't make crap up like that.
And on top of that, his family has the good sense to upload ELEVEN HOURS of MP3s of his works on his web site. Some of them are not so good quality, but c'mon. Quite thrilling stuff. The site's worth checking out, but I admittedly do worry about the tolls that people will exert on the server after everybody downloads 850 megs of music....
