Are you sure you're thinking of the Warp Vision DVD? Almost every act on here would be considered IDM, the term was coined pretty much to define Warp's sound back in the day. Although some of the stuff on the label was pretty electro influenced, which could be what you're referring to, maybe.... Tracklist:

yup, thats the dvd. gosh, i cannot believe i let all those songs slide past my mind. I got this dvd when I was only barely familiar with IDM and I guess they didn't impress me much to leave an impression. I'll be sure to watch it again tonight... after some 'Herbalizer'-ing

Does anyone have Higgins Ultra Low Track Glue Funk Hits 1972-2006? I got Winter in the Belly... but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I wanted straight up smash my face in drill 'n' bass and Higgins appears to be just that. Any thoughts on this?

Another "Not IDM" recommendation, but a wonderful work of modern art: DJ Qbert's Wave Twisters... CD is definitely recommended, but do yourselves a favour and hunt down the DVD. Mindblowing and hilarious.

I think OTT is in psytrance if nothing else only for the fact that it's done by same artist who's behind Shpongle- Simon.. somebody... But yeah, great album- I like the sound of sphongle better tho. much more diverse and matured.

hey so did you find a suitable can for trance listening tho?

Not really, just hf-1s, but I normally listen to anything bassy on my speakers, if that happens to be possible.

I have some shpongle CDs, but it never once struck me that the same guy was behind both. They seem radically different to me.

is there no more interest for IDM? recently i've been leaning toward acid jazzish stuff- skalpel, cinematic orchestra, jaga jazzist, mr.scruff. any more recommandations in this direction? I cant stand it when they start singing tho.
