So, I've gone through a few different IEMs over the past few weeks, and I have the same problem with all of them; no matter which size or pair I try, the left ear silicone tips always fall off. I've had more success with foam, but I want to know if there's something wrong with my ear. Does this mean my ear is too oily or something, or is this something that's pretty common? Thanks!

I have slightly different sized canal openings which cause a pain in finding a perfect fit with a single set of tips

Sometimes double or triple flange tips are the only solution. The deeper insertion solves the problem. Nothing uncommon about having slightly different shape to your two ear canals. Most people don't even notice unless the difference is large. You can also use two different size of the same single flange tip. The trick is to experiment until you get a good seal in both ears. If you sweat  from temperature, walking or exercise the double or triple flange are a simple solution.
