Ah man, I'm just coming to NYC. Guess people are always coming and leaving - certainly sounds like you had a good time there, Teerawit.

So I just signed the lease for the studio on E. 23rd Street. Any suggestions for a broadband ISP? Cable/Direct TV (oooo, Tivo!)? Long distance carrier?

Thanks y'all for the Verizon Wireless recommendations. I picked one up the other week.

Time Warner Roadrunner is the best Cable in town imho. I wish I had it, I'm stuck with RCN as part of my condo's deal and they stink. I believe Roadrunner can be a broadband package deal with cable as well, so that's something worth looking into.

Yes timewarner is good. And they're on 23rd street also

i got verizon DSL. its pretty good. when you move in, you MUST do a mini-meet. or i'll find your address and just come over.

So I'm back in Georgia now...10 minutes here and my skin starts itching...darn mosquito bites!!!

The entire East Coast must be under some heatwave or something...it's just rididculously hot!

Gas prices went up 80 cents over the summer. I miss MTA public transportation.

I hope to return in 2 years after graduation!

Verizon DSL and their FiOS are hated in northern NJ. I don't know about NYC, but around here Verizon customers always lose their connection every couple of weeks and it's usually a problem on the provider's end(they tell you when you call the support number.) Optimum is awesome in my experience. I've got the triple play and it rocks! I've never lost my connection! My current down speed is >1.5MB/sec and my current up speed is .231MB/sec.(tested with the new york server on Speakeasy speed test)

Verizon wireless of course is great!
