LCD vs CRT/TFT?

So, what's the recommendation for a 20" or 21" LCD for general purpose use?

IMO the picture quality of an LCD is much better than a CRT when its at its native resolution. much more clarity, and more vibrant colors. however, black levels can suffer, so can color accuracy, and lcds pretty much look like crap in their non-native resolutions. that said, I prefer lcds since my eyes feel so much different when I use them(in a good way).
