I have a N707 sony minidisc player and I have the regular remote. I was looking around online and found pics of it with an LCD remote.
Where can I get it? Or even what model the remote is so I can look on Ebay.
Thanks

For the Asian & European type N707 is come with the LCD-remote RM-MC10L~

But in fact, a SONY MiniDisc may use many kind of remotes. AS N707 it can use RM-MC11EL RM-MC32EL RM-MC33EL RM-MC12ELK RM-MC35ELK or even the latest Hi-MD remote RM-MC40ELK and Discman remote such as SONY D-EJ01's RM-CD01EL~~

in the SONY model ,"RM" means remote ~~"MC" means MiniDisc & CD(so 'CD' means just for CD, but in fact some CD remotes can also used by MDs)~
and "L" means LCD , "E" means blacklight , "K" means Characters ( support some Japanese or Chinaese Characters~).

So you can find the SONY remotes with you style. Some romotes just support a part of your MD/CD's function but not all~~like the RM-CD01EL RM-MC11EL & RM-MC12ELK haven't the "Group" key , So MDs like MZ-N10 cannot use gourp on those remotes~

PS: As i know some SONY MZ-R900s may not support any kinds of remote except RM-MC11EL~

Most remotes can be used on different MD/CD Walkman's. However the extent of compatability is questionable. For example a RM-MC33EL may work on the N10 perfectly, but it will not fully function on the N1. Because of the group buttons. The best remote explanation can be found here
