Newbie here, currently have LCD-2, WA6SE and Matrix M Stage.
I've never listened to LCD-3s, but from what I've heard is that LCD-3s have larger soundstage than the LCD-2s. Considering WA6SE alters the soundstage a bit, which combo will produce the better sound? ( in terms of Dynamic and Soundstage ). I use these cans for metal.
LCD-2 + WA6SE + Tubes = $1900
LCD-3 + Matrix M Stage = $1400 - $1700
Or maybe I should just purchase a pair of LCD-3s and sell my LCD-2s? Or maybe there are better cans for metal? Suggestions?
Edit:
The reason that I'm considering the cheap Matrix M Stage is because I don't want to own other dynamics or planars at the moment. I've owned the PS 1000, HD 800, HE-560, don't like them after owning some Staxs. The dynamics and the planars i've listed above don't have the bass quality that LCD-2 does, and sound veiled compare to Staxs. Therefore, I've decided to sell all dynamics and planars except Audezes.
Edit 2:
My preferences are as follows: Comfort > Soundstage = Bass and Treble Impact > everything else
