Had my LCD 2.2 for almost 3 years now and just recently noticing more of a bass roll-off with the same music and equipment that once produced flat down to 20hz response. Seems as if the response is not as low as before and rolls off almost as if an octave & 1/2 earlier say around 50-60hz instead of 20hz.
Although I don't have any test equipment to confirm roll-off, I decided to change the pads into the LCD 3 pads which are softer to see if it was the seal not conforming. Unfortunately, didn't notice any difference in bass response - same as in the original pads.
Any of you experience this problem? or know of any driver related issues that may affect bass response?
