My guess is that many of the parts used to build the DA10 is make outside the US, and since the USD have declined in value Lavry have to pay a higher price for the parts. Hence a higher selling price of the final product...
i actually just heard from somebody it was intentionally done cuz they felt they can better compete Benchmark as there new converters are more. could be a combo ination of all. who knows?
