Larger size LED, what resistor? (originally was: Help with 100k ohm pot?)

Yeah mono, I might need a different LED. As 500~ ohms sounds about right for where this one would be as bright as it's supposed to be.

I'll run with this for now and see how the battery holds up, if it dies easily I'll just head to Ratshack and pick up a cheapo replacement.
