Okay, being the college student I am, I own a laptop and not a desktop. I want a source for my laptop with an unamped line out so I can connect it to my millett hybrid. My computer source is currently a bithead, which doesn't fit this role. What options do I have? I am looking to spend probably $300 tops, which can get me a Micro DAC. This is the best option I've found so far... but what else is there? Size doesn't matter, I would prefer something bulky. I require it to be wall powered. If I get some sort of DAC, I would hope it would also improve on the DAC of my CDP (Marantz CD6000 OSE). I don't currently have a PCMCIA slot free on my computer, but if there's a really fantastic PCMCIA option I could potentially free one. My computer also does not have a firewire port. Any ideas?
