I use my Audio-Technicas which means I no longer have a microphone for ingame and vent. This means I am talking considerably less **** when I'm playing Counter-Strike, it also means I can't relay useful information.

I don't want an open air mic since too much sound is transfered from them, especially when I'm pounding on the space bar or clicking the mouse furiously. I don't want to buy a headset since the audio quality is going to suck in comparison to my ATs.

Anyone know of a place where I can get a lapel mic to plug into an 1/8" jack on my sound card?

I've seen that one too, but I'm a little skeptical considering the quality of their other audio devices (the 5.1 headphones for instance). I guess when you are only paying a couple bucks for it, it can't hurt to test it out.

At least with a voice microphone, sound quality is much less of an issue. Plus, the game compresses and reduces the quality of the sound anyway.
