Here is a killer rectifier…1944 WW2 version,,,way better than the 1946 and onwards version.

Thanks Wisnon!.
Love the early rectifier.
Your recommended one is interesting, has double D getter and is pre 1950 tube. The later one has one getter and seems not as good. Similar to the Philips 5R4GYS, which has dish getter for the later production and not  as good. (Early Philips - RT/D getter on the top, Phillips/Dish getter on the bottom)

Even if I have an Eddie Current 445 tube headphone Amp, I am still very very interested by the HEAD DAC, but...

I read on Lampizator WebSite that the lampi7 based head Dac only support headphone with more than 100 Ohms !!

"...
We also offer Big7 Head version, a DAC with DHT tubes and SE structure, with OTL output to the headphones. Works for units 100Ohms of impedance and higher. Not recommended for headphones like HiFi Man amp killers."

Is this correct ? This prohibit the use of many many TOL headphones like LCD-X, HE1000.... and is good only with the like HD800 ?

Ask AL to be sure.

I am sure the HifiMan HE-6 wont work. I think the HE1000 and the LCX do.

According to the last I heard from AL, the Headdac with bypassable trafos will drive about 75% of the HPs out there and perhaps only 50% when the trafos are bypassed (slightly better SQ). HD800 is a match made in heaven, he says.

Hey that's my head dac ate she cute , but I never was one for looks just sound , it beats all comers for me .
It as on loan for the Warsaw show and brought all good reports as well as a ,one to hear it once the word spread about its quality .
In my life of never ending search for Utopia it is tops now for some while . For anyone with the hd800 its tops for me both as an amp alone or combo it may not by the cheapest but I do feel it's tops for sound and of you do speakers as well its a no brainier . I own some other high end stuff and it makes me wonder where the rest of money has gone when I compare them. Names like ps audio whom i love a distant second and even my msb stack and not the analog is close but considerable more expensive and no amp . Now it comes with dsd 256 and a new PCM engine . I plan to do a PCM shootout with my b7 and the head dac while they share common tubes including a driver my feelings will be determined on a side by side with headphones and my IRS v setup as well . My dreams will come true soon enough as its back at lampi vile getting played with and tested . As with all lampi stuff it's all about what we like as individuals and tube rolling is the way to achieve a perfect fit . And for those who want to know ahead there is plenty of threads on the rolling experience so picking out is much more of a sure thing with less guessing . .
