I do know that all of us have preferences. i bought the Klipsch speakers a few months ago due to ton of reviews and comments re how bright they were. The Denon amp very easily powers them and can barely get volume less than 1/4 turn before they blow me out on level.

I have connected some Schiit Audio Modi 3 Dac and Loki tone control and only when I crank up the 8kz range on the loki do the speakers reproduce the upper range. Clearly the speakers can do them so where is the problem? Is it the Denon? Should I go to NAD or Marantz or Emotiva amps? And I even connected the speakers with 16 gauge Audioquest bare wire not using spades or banana plugs.

Ideas?
