I just installed the latest version of kx driver for my sb live value sound card, the installation was easy and very strightfoward, but to be honest with you I didnt notice any difference in terms of sound quality compare to the old creative driver.

Would like to hear your opinion if anyone of you different thoughts.

I don't think it is supposed to give better sound wuality, or indeed be capable of that. It just gives you more control over your soundcard, at the expense of support for features like EAX.
