Looking for a closed set of cans to monitor YouTube voice recording, instrumental/vocals, and casual listening of country, soft rock, pop, and musical soundtracks. I'd like a headset that is neutral enough for studio monitoring but versatile enough to have my music sound good. I've narrowed down to these two choices after many hours of consideration. If you have a defining reason for your decision, please let me know in the comments. Please refrain from suggesting other models, unless you would drastically advise against using one of these two.

Thanks!

I would think the KRK KNS8400 would make a better studio monitor for audio production, more neutral sound.
Where as I would assume the ATH-M40Xs would be more for fun listening for the end user.
