I've always liked Koss after owning a couple of Porta Pros. For analytical listening they are not amazing, but they really are portable pros. When walking or out and about I've never found I've missed anything. I've found in those situations I can't take in too much detail anyway, I don't need to be afraid of damage or theft and finally they are so musically engaging.
I'm in search of a closed on or over ear headphone as I currently don't own any. The intention is to use them as portable headphones from an iPhone and at home. This has led me to the Koss Pro DJ200 and Pro4s. Practically there are things that I like about both of them. I like the KTC cable on the DJ200, but I also like that you can connect a cable to either the L or R earcup on the Pro4s, and it's slightly better look/quality.
So, any recommendations for one over the other? Or other closed headphones? I like the Koss and Grado sound signature.
