I read that these use the same driver.

How do do they compare sonically?

The KTX pro sounds really muffled by the heavy bass.

They sound a lot better with radio shack pads with the hole mod.

dramatically different.
koss Pro1 mids and highs are muffled and subdued by comparison.

Same driver diaphragm. They use different foam pads.

The radio shack version Pro1 that I own, has a more porus foam earpad than the Koss Pro1. Of the 2, the radio shack Pro1 is superior to the Koss Pro1... IMHO.

The Pro1's sound less detailed than the ksc75's because of the plastic covering half of the rear part of the driver.Put some foam in this cavity if you can.
As far the highs are concerned,its a matter of personal choice.if you like an easy laidback flat sound,keep the stock pads.I regret cutting my pads.Made the phones bright !
