I currently own the KSC-75s and I'm enjoying them quite a bit. A very good, cheap headphone. I'm always surprised that $20 headphones can sound this good. Recently though, I've been looking at the ATH-EC7s. I'm wondering if anyone here can compare how the two would stack up? What would be gained by getting the EC7s? Or what would be lost, if anything?

I listen to 99% classical music as well, if that makes a difference. And I use my KSC-75s with my iAudio X5L.

you'd lose a lot of bass by going to the ec7. i have a pair and i love them but if you're a bass head, they're going to disappoint you. but having said that, they do have accurate bass and go deep but just not in the amounts that the ksc75 have. i think the ec7 are much more detailed than the ksc75 and in almost all other aspects of the sound, they are much better than the ksc75.
