actually i really dont want to...i dont want the money that bad...

my friends have had bad experiences at fast food places...bad hours, grease burns, feeling sick from the smell of food, etc...

One of the best places for students to get jobs is at a local university. Especially during the summer, college students are off surfing, so staff are always in need of extra help. Check the university papers or just call/visit the various departments and inquire. You'll get treated with respect, the pay is decent, and it's a nice atmosphere to work in.

Before I went to college, I had difficulty getting a summer job, but UCLA hired me right away. I still have that same job every summer when I need the money.

its tougher here in BC...

employers here are encouraged to hire university students over high school students, even if they arent as good workers...

its because some university students complained to the government that high school kids were stealing their jobs when they needed money....whiners...
