Koss HV/A1 headphones

My Koss HV-1A Plus headphones do look and sound very nice.
They have been a nice addition to my collection.
Still have to find a way to get the Grado SR325 Headphones.

audio19,
I have heard a lot of good  things about the "ATH M50X" Headphones you mentioned.
I have never head them yet ... at this point are they worth adding to my collection?
Thanks

Still trying to catch up from holiday spending ... wife won't let me do anything right now.
I don't want to have to sleep on the couch. Maybe later down the road in a couple months if you still have them.
I do appreciate the offer and will keep it mind.

Are you interested in trading your Hv-1A for either SR325is or ATH M70X?
But, you said "plus"? Are those with the volume pods on each cup or is it those larger black ones that came out after?

I felt you would say that.
I guess I need to forget about the ATH-M50X and make those RS2 phones my final upgrade goal.
$500 ... that would definitely have to wait til next Christmas plus something special for the wife.
Thanks for the conversation. Enjoyed visiting with you.
Again, hope you have a great evening.

Yes ... Koss HV-1A Plus headphones.
No volume knob.
Look like the Koss HV-1A headphones only both metal rings on the ear cups are silver not blue and red combo.
I think the a pretty much the same, think the "plus" is because the marketed them as being digital ready at the beginning of the CD music age.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

I had the Radio Shack version from 1982 to 1992. They have reissued them too. Great headphones. Only pair of headphones I had for years.

HV1 arrived last week. Pads were gone to dust and clean off already. Testing pad replacement from stuff I have laying around. The less pad the better is my current opinion. Fantastic old tech. My father had these or HV/1A in the mid-1970s. My first head-fi has returned!

These are my favorite vintage Koss, the daddy of the Porta Pro and all 60ohm on ear from them. Congrats!

FYI, Koss sell replacement foam pads for them still ... Or at least they did a few years back when I picked up my pair. It's worth giving them a call (might not be listed on their site).
