Well, it's more pricey...

It must be in a higher level, right?

If that picture is true, that is the exact same headphone design as the electrostatic ESP950, which is a well regarded headphone. It seems like they just stuck one of their standard 60ohm drivers in the said enclosure. Doesn't tell you anything about the sound of course, but interesting nonetheless...

I have had R100, and they have good bass and good highs. But the mid is seriously lacking. Everything sounds empty and distant.

I have checked some reviews on A250, mostly done by Chinese websites, and they seem to agree that A250 has a dip in the mid-frequency range too. And it seems that A250 also uses the 60ohm driver from R100. Can someone confirm this?

Amp them with PA2V2, it will bring out the mids quite a lot.

I'm using R200 with my laptop - nice comfy cloth earpads instead of the leatherette ones.
Yeah, Koss has a dip in the mid, but for US$33 - who cares.
Like I said, I paid CAD$250 for mine in 2001, they are a WONDERFULL can.
My 2 cents.

That mid-dip is kind of the koss house sound. All my koss cans have that characteristic, even my OLD Pro4X Plus.

My thinking exactly. For $100 I would be critical of it. But for under $50, I would only expect porta / KSC75 / HD201 performance.

OMG!! How did I miss this!!
