Ooohhh. That sounds SO tasty!

Man, who's to say what else those natives eat who collect the shat beans so eagerly. A favourite dish here in Thailand is fermented fish. Every smell, let alone taste, a fermented fish? Oh, baby, whata stink ....

Hey, Nick. Have you noticed a lot of x-cans on the market lately?

I watched a special on the Discovery Channel during Christmas at which time the hosts of a popular science: Daily Planet, decided to take the beans to the acclaimed food sciences labs at Guelph University (probably the best food lab in the world). To make a long story short, the microbiologist and bacteriologist found these beans to have less bacteria than regular Columbian coffee. Very very interesting.

Kopi luwak is from indonesia. Kopi = Coffee, luwak= the animal, it's rare even in indonesia, it believed that the luwak pick the good coffee bean to eat, and after fermentation from its stomach, the coffee taste become better, never tried though, but it's said to be the best coffee in Indonesia

Thanks for this thread.

The links you guys provided led me to Raven's Brew coffee. I haven't thought of Raven's Brew for a long time. I am going to order coffee from them and compare with what I get now. I may be a permenent customer.

Yes, they do sell Kopi Luwak. I don't know if I want to spend that much money on coffee. $75 for a quarter pound, and you must call it in. Besides my wife says she ain't gonna drink it.
