Anyone into this guy? I bought The Dustyfoot Philospher on a whim a few weeks ago and it took me a few spins to get into him but now that I'm used to him voice abit more..WOW.
He's got some very powerful lyrics. FYI he's a Canadian immagrant from Somolia, so he talks alot about growing up in a war zone, and a bit about his political views.
He's a very fresh sound in hip-hop, and definitly worth a look even if your not a big hip-hop fan. There are a few semi-traditional songs on there that are really interesting as well. Make sure you listen to the hidden track "tears for the horn"...very emotional.
