I`ve been an owner and fan of the Klipsch x10`s for about 4 years now and athough they are still perfectly functional, the strain reliefs have split to a worrying degree. I tried using epoxy and superglue but none were pliable enough and cracked when the earpieces bent, silicone also didn`t work and simply formed a rubbery lump that eventually fell off. So recently when mending my home theater system I came across some sub woofer edge foam glue that I had lying around and to my surprise it had perfect properties for this job. Its super tacky and dries sort of rubbery so it flexes quite a bit. It is hard to apply to the earpieces but it works wonders once dry, my x10`s are good as new and I no longer fear pulling the cable out from the back when accidentally yanking on it. Hope it helps anyone with the same problem out there.
