My product is out of warranty, and I have some questions to try and fix my problems without paying the expense of professional repair. My one speaker stopped working, and so through a bunch of tests, I've figured out it's the binding posts in the back of the amp/woofer, which causes the attached speaker to not produce any sound. Folks at Best Buy said I need to buy a new amp on the back to be put on, that the individual binding posts cannot be replaced. Radio Shack said they couldn't help either. My other option is to get a whole new piece (entire amp/woofer) if it's cheaper than getting whatever needs fixed fixes. Anyone have any similar experiences or have any advice? Thanks in advance!!

(i hope this isn't a DBT thread... I don't know what double-blind testing is. sorry if it is, in that case, just ignore the post)

No need to spam multiple threads in different forums, we all hear ya.

I'd say your best bet is to go on eBay and find yourserlf a Promedia subwoofer. They always have a bunch that are seperate of the satellites. Probably your cheapest soultion. I've personally haven't opened up the Promedia subwoofer, but I imagine its terrible work, plus if you don't know how to solder than it could be an issue.
