Ive been reading about the x10 having serious durability issues.
Whats the longest anyone used them before they start falling apart?
Also, is Klipsch's 2 yr warranty international?

I think it varies and depends on how you treat them, but given that they are so small I tend to just keep them in my pocket 24/7 (and that's a lot to ask for any pair of headphones).

To answer your question

my X10i had housing strain relief split visible about 6 months into ownership, at about 1 year it was noticeably split and undoubtedly would come apart in another year.  Before that though my strain relief at the plug end broke (because it was a straight plug), I think the regular x10 comes with angled connectors though so that's probably not an issue.  At the time I purchased it it was $350, so of course for that price point it was atrocious compared to the competition.  At $89, I would consider it again.

As for warranty, here in Canada your warranty will be handled by another company on Klipsch's behalf.  Note that I had no problems reaching Klipsch US support on the phone right away to find out about this.

look at this post for what the strain relief split actually looks like (mine wasn't as bad at 1 year point when I did over the counter exchange with the local retailer)

I have my Klipsch X10 for a year and it had took alot of abuse (I'm a DJ) now the left earpiece is slightly disconnected. That's not to say that it is badly built, maybe I'm just too abusive. Sending it in for repair/guarrantee.

Here's the main problem that occurs with X10.

Often caused by people pulling the earpiece out by the cable over time, wrapping them up around your player.

I think if people could remove them by the holding the housing this would be lesser problem.

That's interesting! Having owned several pairs of the less expensive and lower range Image S4, I had some serious reliability issues with them, with one of the two channels definitely ceasing working past a finite amount of time... If the split in the rubber part is the only issue, that's fine to me!

Here's a link to a thread I started on Klipsch's forum about the S4 problem, if you're interested :
