KingRex UC-192 USB / Spdif Bridge Review

I was talking to the nice people at CryoParts a couple of weeks ago: we'd both been seriously surprised by how good the little UC192 is: adaptive? £159? Surely not. It's most effective delivering AES/EBU and powered by the PSUII or the Valab supply. If anyone want to borrow a PSU to try it, just shout. No charge.

I have been using the Kingrex UC192 in combination with an Audio-GD NFB-2 DAC in my system for the past few months and have been getting stunning results. The addition of a USB-SPDIF converter to my computer audio chain has just opened everything right up in terms of smoothness and spaciousness. The best way to describe the effect is to say that it is just easy to sit back and listen to the music flow for hours on end. I recently added Kingrex's UPower device to provide battery power to the UC192, and that has just added another level of goodness to everything.
