My son wants to pick up a pair of cheap IEMs (he keeps the volume low). He's returning some KOSS KEB24 because he doesn't like the J cable (different length on one side).

I'm thinking JBuds as they are only $20 at Amazon. Anything better?

the different length are the J cord. the Y cord are the ones with equal length on each side.

I picked up a pair of Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds for the wife to use at the gym. They are a decent set for cheap and use equal length cords (Y-cord). Got them at Target for about $15.

x2 for the ink'd..there is a good review for them here just recently...also consider sennheiser mx series which are earbuds. IEMs is a different story.

Noted, thanks. I can never remember if the Y in Y cords refers to a symmetrical capital Y of a lower case y

imo dont get the senns mx version. theyre crap, try and expand the budget to get a used PK3 instead

JVC Marshmallows (FX=33) are pretty satisfying for me but I havent heard anything that might be better so I wouldn't really know, they are pretty cheap but dont stay in the greatest for me but mostly because I talk all the time (wear them at lunch a lot) and the cable is pulling down on them when I walk, on the bus they stay in pretty well
