I currently use Foobar2000 v.0.8.3 and had it set up to play music files via kernel streaming, 96000Hz. My sound card is a Chaintech AV-710.

I have always liked the userface of Winamp classic much more than Foobar. I don't know how to "tweak" Foobar's looks too much and it still looks pretty much like the stock Foobar setup.

I want to be able to get the higher quality sound-output from my AV-710 via kernel streaming 96000Hz with Winamp Classic. How can I do this?

Yes, there is a kernel streaming plugin for winamp (search for it on hydrogenaudio.org), but i don't think it can resample to 96000khz. For a long time there was no seperate resample winamp plugin (other than output plugins), but i think one exists nowadays.

Or you can use the winamp ASIO plugin (which can resample to 96000) together with ASIO4all (it's not real ASIO or kernel streaming quality though)

The PPHS resampler that comes with Foobar 0.9 will do 96000. I'm not sure you'll notice an improvement in sound though. But feel free to do some blind listening tests.

(PS I recommend upgrading to the latest Foobar2000 - some big improvements.)
