2 years late with my reply and you have probably moved on to newer DAPs, but there is a bunch of sites that let you buy from Japanese online stores. I have personally used Buyee to bid on a Kenwood MG-G708, and win, on Yahoo auction. Everything worked well. I had to pay fees and shipping and also customs fee to Swedish customs. The auction ended at 7000 yen and shipping, fees and custom was a little bit over 4000 yen, so a little over 11000 yen in total.

If you are still interested to try a Kenwood flash MP3 player out you can try Buyee or other similar sites. There is a lot to read about them. I just picked Buyee since it integrated well with Yahoo auction and also it is owned by the shipping company Tenso. But there are other options that can be cheaper when it comes to fees...
