Keeping Insects Away From Headphones

It's summer where I live and that means bugs of all sorts are crawling out in the open everywhere. I've just flicked a small bug off one of my headphones before putting it on. It seems others have also had close calls. I can't tell if it's worse with open headphones (because they can easily get into the drivers) or with closed headphones (because if you miss them, they'd be stuck between your ears and driver cushions... not to mention the paranoia getting in the way of enjoying the music) I've had mosquito bites on the edge of my ear canals, and I can tell you that it sucks. Do you people worry about such things? If so, how do you deal with them? Place headphones in plastic zipper bags?

Never had such problem but I imagine its pretty annoying lol. Try to keep them in a carrying case or something like that.
