I only have "the Great Cold Distance"-which album to get next?
Not into the earlier cookie monster vocals...are any of their albums a little more layered/complex?

Get the Last Fair Deal Gone Down

then get Viva Emptyness.

Avoid albums before those if you dont want the Doom / cookie monster vocals

Actually, the two prior albums to LFDGD (TONIGHT'S DECISION and DISCOURAGED ONES) do not have death vocals..

TONIGHT'S DECISION is definately worth having... some of their heaviest stuff is on there.

Black Sessions would be a good place to start -- it's a box set basically of tracks from Tonight's Decision, Last Fair Deal Gone Down, and Viva Emptiness, which are the three albums I would recommend getting.
