this is for informational purposes, but if you are planning on re-cabling your 70x's do your best not to twist the driver pins as the voice coil wire going from inside to the pin is strung tight and if you spin the pin it will break at the joint... fount out the hard way cleaning up my solder joints on my 702 today... Just get a magnifying hand lens and find the break and then apply copious amounts of solder to that area or re solder the wire to the bottom of the pin still taking care not to over heat the area around the solder area. This is the easy fix to what i thought was a fried driver (50$ to replace from AKG) ... Pass it along to look at that wire close if your driver goes dead during a re-cable! good luck and ps the new nucleotide cable is doing an excellent job vs. stock!
