Is there any way to make the K701s have some more give? The only way I can wear them comfortably right now is to put the headband behind my head. Otherwise, the headband is smashed against my head and the bottoms of the pads are on my earlobes. Will I get some stretch with use or should I not bother and just return them?

I ask this because I remember some people's 701s at the headphone meets and they weren't bad. Maybe my head grew over the past year.

Mine felt small and uncomfortable at first, now they're perfect. Note I've never met someone with a bigger head than me. I used twist ties to keep the band all the way open at first so there wasn't any tension. If you delicately squeeze the earphones together, their shape will get taller and maybe reach your ears more comfortably. Good luck.

No, I just have a monstrously huge head.

Thanks for the feedback. The problem is not the elasticity, but the white "slider" hitting the white "stopper". If the slider had a bit more track to slide up on, I think I'd be okay.
