Hello everyone
I have used RS Raptor for a long time
and I pair this AMP and
dt880smile.png
or HD650
With lots of great 1950~60s Tube, Amperex 7316, TFK ECC802s, Mullard long plate Square Getter et al, its sound is astonishing when listening to 60s classical music
However, I don't feel satisfied its syngery with K702
OTL Amp seems not to drive low-impedence headphone well.
My candidate right now is Wooaduio WA6SE
Should I think over other choice?

In addition, in WA6SE, I could only roll its rectifier 5AR4
This is only my worry.
Because I want to roll more tubes

My K701 paired perfect with WA6SE in my own ears. Also, there are many output tubes and rectifiers could be substituted.

Take a look of this page HERE. You would be very happy for tube rolling in the WA6SE.

EDIT. BTW, the Sophia Princess 274B is probably the best rectifier for the WA6SE but would cost you $150.

The WA6 SE might be your best bet. I am struggling to think of another transformer-coupled head-amp.

If you need a smaller size, the WA6 is also a very good choice.

Thanks for reply above
Because I may buy a new Grado Headphone
gs1000.gif
, PS1000,or HF-2
I read Tone audio issue 8 several times, They say that GS1000 is great with Wa3+ ???
Should I buy Wa2 (the same as Wa3+ in my budget)?
I feel a little confused that Some people prefer Wa2/3 , others prefer W6 for Grado....

OTL will work with them if there is enough current output. The SP Extreme does very well with them with an output of a half watt. My volume sits @ 9 and rarely goes above 10. I've ran the k340s on it and they pushed it to 12.

If you are interested in one, only buy used. There have been some pretty good deals with many tubes included in the sale from members here as well as other headphone sites.

^truth. I forgot about the single power amps. I was going to mention the Zana but that is more than 2x budget.
