There's lots of interesting material on the K701 around, and many seem to feel that the Corda Aria is the way to go - even though it may be a little outside the range of some budgets.

There's another related question that I'm sure fellow (or future) K701 owners would be interested in:

In given price ranges (e.g., < 0 - $100, $100-200, $200-300, etc.), which do you recommend as the most appropriate amp, everything else being equal?

The Singlepower SLAM PPX3 and the Headamp GS-1 sound awesome with the 701's .... in the mid-priced category. As does the more upscale Singlepower SLAM MPX3 and the Singlepower Supra. The tube amps, in particular, give you a full bodied sound with excellent speed, dynamics and soundstaging. The 701 gets along especially well with the Singlepower amps using the 5687 output tubes.

The PPX3 SLAM is definetly the most dynamic amp i have ever owned.It makes me wonder all the time how that next SP amp up the line might sound
