I know there was a previous post like this, and thanks to that I snagged a pair, but some people missed out.

Headroom has 2 AKG K701 B stock items for $259.00 again. With free fedex shipping with tracking, can't be beat.

I haven't been in the K701 loop, but how much are they usually (headroom has them for discount and the price isn't displayed)?

Most places have them for 309. and here they run around 290-300.

I ordered the last pair. I'll try these out as a possible replacement for my Senn 600/Cardas combo.

I'm broke now. I'm waiting for the Grado GS-1000's too.

I just think the Senn sound is not as musical and too slow for my tastes. They do so many things well, but I hear the 701's have some of the qualities of the K1000, and that will make it a nice general all arounders for me hopefully.

I get mine on wednesday, but from the description they are 'open' box items that were probably returned under the 30 day return policy and carry full warranty.

Damn I got my "A-stock" K601's from TTVJ for $210 shipped FedEx ground...but that was a while ago, did the price go up?

No, a good deal for the 701s has always been around $300. That's what I got mine for. These "open box" are going for a little cheaper.
