after wearing my fingers to nubs searching the web for every conceivable 300b amp I am going wit the coincident 300b frankenstein MKll.
Amps that were in the running were
Wavelenght Cardinal 300b
Wavelenght PX-25
Audio Art PX-25
Airtight 300b amp
Woo Audio 5
After all that I went with the Coincident based on the reports of best in class bass repsonse and extended highs without loss of midrange magic. The only rub is while coincident has a dealer network the amps are only available factory direct. I called over their and he reason is they are $5K direct and if there was a dealer network they would need to be $8-9K.
I'm not sure you could go wrong with any of the amps I had listed but I am looking to get out of "amp rolling" and get back to a steady rig. I went 15 years with the same rig and I'd like to put together another solid 5-10 year run at least.
I had also though of going the el84 route as I love thesound and tube rolling is considerably cheaper.
