I have just ordered a new K 1000, this is the last can I'll try with my Cary that is a "perfect" combo with HD650/Equinox IME... (I have tried a lot of others dynamics cans...).

Someone can tell me how will sound the K 1000 plugged on the speakers outputs of the Cary CAD 300 SEI?

I haven't heard them with the Cary. I've heard the Cary with speakers and it sounds amazing.

Since the K-1000 is simply a window into the recording and equipment (more than any phone I've heard), I think you will be very very pleased.

I know there are people that have heard the combo that will give experience, but I think you have one of the best amps for the K-1000s

I guess the Cary 300SEI/K-1000 users are in an audio Euphonic state and can't stop listening long enough to reply.

Nik, didn't you own and end up getting rid of a pair of K1000s before, when you switched to the K701 and HD650 rigs? Personally, I'm a firm believer in the K1000 sounding best out of solid state, and if an HD650 from a powerful Cary tube amp is what you've been digging on, especially having already owned the K1000s, I doubt they'll convince you this time if they didn't before.

Well, I think that "Pawlowski6132" had this combo before but it seems he's been "Banned".

Yes, I had the K 1000 (two times), but before getting the Cary. They was very good with my precedent Leben 600 integrated. Now I'd like to see how the speakers outputs of my Cary sound... The Leben was very different in sound respect to the Cary. I also think that headphone jack and speakers outputs sound different on the Cary, I'll tell you when the K 1000 arrive to my door. On the headphone jack the HD 650 is my preferred cans.
