I'm using an XA-V80 right now, it has English and Japanese as selectable user interface languages.
Sound quality is excellent, seems on par, maybe slightly better than my Sony S618F. K2 sound enhancement is a nice feature, warms the sound a little bit. It uses standard Mini USB instead of that proprietary thing Sony uses which is a major plus also.

This is a different line, not featured on the JVC USA website. All the reports i have read have menus in Japanese and mention only being sold in Japan.

Some older XA's were sold in the USA and Europe, newer models are Japan-only releases.
