Im curious what people think about using a full size A/V receiver as a headphone "amp"? The sound from the USB on an old computer of mine was certainly far better than the onboard sound. How does this compare to the dedicated headphone DAC's?
After plugging this in, it started making me think about the onboard audio on my main machine.. if I was really being fooled into thinking I didnt need a xi-fi sound card.
Realtek® ALC850 8-channel CODEC is the audio chip on my board. (Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe)
