Greetings. I am in the market to upgrade my current headphones onto something better sounding. My current cans are the Sennheiser EH150 which I have for 3 years. They still work great... but I'm just bored with them.

I have placed an order for the JVC HARX700 since I've read so much raving about these. Are these actually better performing than my EH150? I can cancel the order at anytime for the next couple of days in case I need to change my mind.

If I decide to get something else, what <$100 bass-heavy hp would you guys recommend me? I listen to mostly techno, metal, sub-bass tracks (Techmaster P.E.B., Bass 305) on my Cowon S9 DAP.

Thanks!

Rx700 might be too big for portable use, so you might want to reconsider.

ATH M50 is one of favorites of Head-fi for general use, and is fairly bassy.

You can also test out the Sony XB series at your local best buy.
