Glad you like it and cheers! Enjoy your "new" FXT200LTD! Post your impression and complaints, if any.

The fxz200 is already good on its own so i wont alter it while the fxt200ltd and the fxt100 are the otherwise. I wouldnt remove the filter of the FXZ as it is irreversible.

Edit: i cannot get over with the FXTs becase of the nasty combination of forward mid, thickness, and dullness which dwarf the soundstage - highly reminiscent of the UM30pro i got rid off.

I've removed the filters and I'm listening to them now. I'll have to compare them with my brother's pair later today. So far, I'm experiencing the same that you all described. The sound is less fatiguing (no shoutiness), clearer (somehow), and the soundstage has become more coherent (because of the clarity) and widened just a bit. I'm surprised that removing the filters can change the sound character by this much.

And to think I thought that they sounded good before.

Edit: Yup. I'm seriously enjoying these right now...

Same here! I have re-discovered my FXT200 LTD 2 years later without filters! Soundstage and clearliness really improved. I am tempted to do this mod to my expensive FX850!

Dont. Assuming the fx750's filter i have is the same as the fx850, it is made of a thin, transparent mesh instead of thick paper. Yet it seems highly permeable, allowing lots of airs to pass through. If you see it carefully you could even see the driver inside, as opposed to the FXTs.

I highly doubt it will change the sound.

Again I like the fx750 the way it is so i will not make any alteration.

I don't suggest you to do this with your fx850 if you already like them because this mod is irreversible , maybe after removing the filters fx850 becomes more brighter on the harsh level ,

OK, thanks for your advice. Anyway, the FXT 200 sounds really good now without filters. I bought the 'woodie' FX850 because I did not like the sound signature of the FXT200LTD, but now it is really a new IEM! (similar to the DUNU Titan 1/ FiiO EX1). Thanks for your advice, Grandasaputra!

Like how there is FXH10/20/30 it is about time for an FXT300 to go with the 100/200. Should have MMCX at least and if JVC think that filters are cool in the FD01 then give us those as well. Think they need to fill that space in the line up. FXH30 was as good as the FXT(w/o filters) and sounds similar to and as good as the Titan 1 according to some. Non-woodie earphone above FXH level and below the FD is now what? Nothing really. Only FD7 but that is a Solidege, not an FX, and that isn't much of an upgrade to the FXH30 anyhow.

I suspect there will be something coming. First they put the FD's up on the top. Now they put this out... https://translate.google.com/transl...kaku.com/item/J0000026682/images/&prev=search ...at the bottom so there should be something in the middle coming for the spring right? :)

An FXT300 with FXZ200 design, i will be sold, if only they go back to the original FXZ/FXT90 casing.

The FXT100/200 is too big/ tall for them to insert. Yet I am trying to figure out why the old designs are more favorable to my ears compared to the new one...

Based on the copycats I would assume it would be a whole new design. Over the ear might be nice. Perhaps they can use the housing from their failed BT "live sound" earphones...

That's what I've been waiting for as well. The FXT's sound with the FXZ's subwoofer would be endgame stuff for me. For now...:
