My DX3 has developed a buzz that I think is caused by a hair stuck in the driver. I know how to separate the driver unit from the cup, but does anyone know how to lift off the pads/grill cover to expose the driver so I can see what gives? TIA.

Thanks, moondoggy. That post explained how to separate the cup from the driver unit but not how to remove the cloth grill cover. (It does, though, show the driver with the grill cover removed).

It turns out the grill cover/pads are easily removed. They comprise one unit that are mounted by little rubber posts to holes in the front of the driver unit. And I mean simple rubber posts. No one-way arrowhead design. No glue. Just friction. I gently pried them off.
