I'm just wondering can we vote a standard "test CD" so it's easier for people to understand what's the difference between different products.

I mean, without a standard, it's hard to judge.

We'd have to pick one for each genre of music. Picking just one cd would probably do more harm than good because then some cans would get shafted. For example it is generaly agreed that Grados are much better at rock than Senns, while the Senns are better to listen to clasical music with.

Anyway this would be someone pointless as we'de have to decide on a standard setup too because different cd players sound different. Then we'de have to standardize the listening enviroment, ect.

It would just be an exercise in futily.
